"Early 40s here; got these for fun when traveling to sunny destination, however started using them all the time. They stay put unless you only clip a small area with fine hair, they will slide out. About an inch in length/width with half inch on the claw side. Love these so much I'm getting two more sets! I went skydiving and mistakenly forgot to take this clip out, was very sad as for that experience did not stay put FYI."
